Note: A note in HPWaH, p. 80, states of Mostyn library that 'There are moreover a variety of beautiful missals, all on vellum, and superbly illuminated. One as old as the year 1200; and many very curious Bibles'. A Royal Commission report on the collection noted that it included examples of the service book of the Roman Catholic church, the book of hours, the Order of the Mass, the Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the Vetus missal.
