Notes: Owain Fychan (d. 1187), a son of Madog ap Maredudd and, according to late medieval genealogists, his wife, Susanna. He was one of three of Madog ap Maredudd's sons who inherited the kingdom of Powys after their father's death. He may be identified with the 'Owen ap Madawc' named by Philip Yorke in his letter of 3 December 1776 to Pennant, 1355. ODNB s.n. Madog ap Maredudd.
